Coming November 2026! 

The first session is a one-day, in-person collaborative workshop that will bring together community practitioners, advocates, educators, and academic researchers to co-develop practical, evidence-informed toolkit resources that support safer online communities across Canada via bystander intervention strategies.

The second session will take place online and will provide participants with an opportunity to review, discuss, and provide feedback on prototype toolkit materials developed through the first workshop. This shorter follow-up session will support collaborative refinement of the resources and help ensure the toolkits are practical, accessible, and responsive to community needs.

The workshop series will include presentations, facilitated discussions, and collaborative design activities. The resulting resources will be made openly available through Pressbooks and hosted on the Digital Public Interest Collective website for use by community organizations, educators, EDI offices, HR professionals, and anti-violence advocates across Canada.
