The Digital Public Interest Collective is the brain child of Jaigris Hodson, Chandell Gosse, Shandell Houlden, Victoria O’Meara, and Andrea Galizia. Our mission is to bring together interdisciplinary researchers and scholars who are interested in the ways that digital communication technologies can contribute to the public interest, and the ways in which they undermine it. As such, our projects are multifaceted and cover many different topics, including:
- Misinformation and conspiracy theories
- Health and science communication
- Technology facilitated violence and abuse
- The potential and limits of online influencer practice
We work across multiple universities, and our work is both academic and practitioner-focused. Want to collaborate with us? Drop us a line, we’re always eager to hear how others would like to contribute to the collective
